Although Ford’s brand new electric Mustang Mach-E is coming to our country later this year, the online configurator is already running at full speed. Time to see what the bare-bones version looks like.

Due to his later arrival this year, it is not yet possible to purchase the car, but it is possible to reserve the car in advance. You are now too late for the First Edition, because it is already completely sold out. Meanwhile, more than 1,500 Dutch people have told Ford that they do have an ear for the electric Mustang Mach-E. The majority of these reservations are for the rear-wheel drive version with the larger battery pack of 98.8 kWh with a range of more than 600 kilometers is possible. That version costs € 58,075. For about € 8,000 less, the same car but with a smaller battery pack is in the order lists. We will of course take that version for this section. The battery then has a capacity of 75.7 kWh, making it possible to achieve a range of 450 kilometers. The Ford sprints from 0 to 100 within 8 seconds. The torque is 415 Nm.

The basic version is mainly visible on the outside by the choice of wheel. The wheel arches are filled with 18-inch alloy wheels. The most luxurious Mustang with AWD gets 19-inch wheels with red calipers. The headlights are also slightly simpler than “the adaptive Mustang Signature” headlights from the more luxurious version. Furthermore, it is not possible to fold the door mirrors electrically. But with that you are pretty much there. Black lacquer is the only free option. For other colors, such as the “Lucid” red introduction color, Ford charges between € 1,000 and € 1,400 extra.

Inside, Ford equips the electric Mach-E with a 10.2-inch instrumentation and a gigantic central screen that counts 15.5 inches. The SUV also features adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assistance, a special app that allows the smartphone to act as a key and the ability to charge up to 150 kW quickly. The leather “Black Sensico” upholstery is supplied as standard. The first row of seats is heated.

The option list is very clear with one package: the Technology Pack of € 1,500. This includes a Bang & Olufsen audio system with ten speakers, a “hands-free” electrically operated tailgate, traffic sign recognition and a Fully Active Park Assist with 360-degree camera.

For the time being, the electric Mustang Mach-E can only be reserved. The down payment is € 1,000. Delivery of the First Edition will begin next fall.
