Anyone in the market for an Opel Insignia with a diesel engine can now opt for a new engine and box combination. The entry-level diesel is now also available with an automatic transmission.
Opel offers the Insignia with two petrol and two diesel engines. In addition, the strongest diesel version is available with both a manual six-speed gearbox and an eight-speed automatic. Until now, the basic diesel always had to do with a manual gearbox. That is different now!
From now on, the 122 hp 1.5 CDTi, just like the 174 hp 2.0 CDTi, is available with the automatic gearbox with eight speeds, in addition to a manual gearbox. The starting price of the 122 hp Opel Insignia Grand Sport 1.5 CDTi with that automatic transmission is € 42,749 for the Business and Business Elegance versions. This means the additional cost compared to the version with manual gearbox is € 2,500. For the Edition and Ultimate you will lose € 43,549 and € 47,299 respectively. The Insignia Grand Sport 1.5 CDTi with automatic transmission has a speed of 100 km / h on the clock in 12.2 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km / h. The version with manual transmission with a 0-100 time of 11.4 seconds and a top speed of 205 km / h, slightly faster. The average consumption of the version with automatic transmission is 5.0 l / 100 km to 0.3 l / 100 km higher than that of the manual variant.
For the Insignia Sports Tourer 1.5 CDTi with automatic transmission, Opel asks at least € 44,249. That amount is for the Business version. The Edition and Ultimate in this configuration cost $ 45,049 and $ 48,799 respectively.
