Bentley celebrates Christmas with one-off ‘Reindeer Eight’

Bentley is going for the holidays and has put the Flying Spur V8 in a Christmas jacket. The ‘Reindeer Eight’ is a one-off peppered with details that refer to Santa Claus. The most striking detail has to be the reindeer on the nose.

In the press release, Bentley jokes that it is Santa Claus himself who ordered the ‘Reindeer Eight’. Yet the car itself is by no means a joke. Bentley really built the special Flying Spur. The exterior color is ‘Cricket Bauble’, a dark red lacquer specially applied for this edition, based on the more common ‘Cricket Ball’. In addition, the Christmas version of the large sedan is immediately recognizable by the 22-inch golden wheels of the ‘Mulliner Driving Specification’ and the striking pattern on the sides. It almost seems as if Bentley the Flying Spur has put on a wrong Christmas sweater.

If you look more attentively at the Christmas Bentley, you will see the golden reindeer on the nose and the golden pinstripe that runs over the side. The V8 badges have also been replaced by ‘Reindeer Eight’ logos. In the interior, the majority of the leather has been chosen – just like the exterior – for the color ‘Cricket Bauble’. To complete the match, the stitching is gold and Bentley ‘Mr. Claus ‘and’ Mrs. Claus’ in the headrests of the driver and passenger seats respectively. To finish it off, the moldings are made of black lacquered wood and winter mountain peaks have been applied. Incidentally, the ‘Jingle Bells’ tune sounds when the car is started.

It is not known what exactly the extras on the one-off cost. In any case, the ‘Reindeer Eight’ is a funny quip and at the same time a great way for Bentley’s personalization department to show what it has to offer.
