BMW shows Concept i4

Although the major car show in Geneva is canceled, many manufacturers will come up with big news these days. In the run-up to the big scoops, we are treated to many a teaser. Now also by BMW.

Where a dark shadowy corner of a new car can be seen on one teaser, other teasers are a little less subtle. BMW proves that, because it shows the brand new Concept i4. That is not the first time, but the car is now surprisingly good. After highlighting the dark photo (photo 2), the side view is extra good to see. The i4 will be BMW’s newest electric car. Once it will not be an SUV, but an electric Gran Coupé. The “4” in the name betrays the size of the car: see it as the “electric successor” of the 4 series.

The car that would be unveiled in Geneva and can be seen on this teaser would be the Concept i4. We find the conceptual on the car with the digital mirrors and the apparently slightly wider bumpers around. Think this away and the production-ready i4 is there! The rear lights show many similarities with those of the 2 and 8-series Gran Coupé.

BMW will have the i4 roll off the production line in Munich next year. Then the car has an 80 kWh battery pack and an electric motor with 531 hp. Together these are good for a WLTP range of 600 kilometers. BMW presents the i4 Concept tomorrow morning.
