ChatGPT is growing in popularity and a Plus version of the chatbot is now available. What can you do with a ChatGPT subscription?
ChatGPT Plus available in the Netherlands
ChatGPT has become extremely popular in recent weeks. The service makes it possible for anyone with an account to chat with an AI. The chatbot then provides detailed answers to the questions you ask or the comments you make.

This service is completely free on your iPhone, you just need to create an account to use the service. A new feature has now been added: ChatGPT Plus. You then have a ChatGPT subscription for which you pay a certain monthly amount, of course with additional functions. What are the possibilities of such a subscription exactly?
No more waiting with a ChatGPT subscription
With ChatGPT Plus you get a number of benefits as a subscriber. The main advantage is that you always have access to the chat service, even when it is busy. Due to the enormous popularity of ChatGPT, it sometimes happens that you have to wait a while before you can use the service. With a ChatGPT Plus subscription this is no longer necessary, you will then get priority over all those waiting.
As a subscriber, you do not have to wait long for a reply from ChatGPT, because a faster response time is also part of the subscription. In addition, ChatGPT Plus gives you first access to new functions of the chat service. It is not yet known which functions these will be, but it is clear that the chat service will be expanded (soon).
That’s how much a ChatGPT subscription costs
The subscription is on the pricey side: for the ChatGPT subscription you pay a monthly fee of 20 dollars in the United States. In the Netherlands, this amount is even higher due to VAT: here you pay 24.20 dollars per month, the equivalent of 22.61 euros. You can only take out the subscription with a credit card.

ChatGPT Plus is a smart way from OpenAI to monetize the (so far free) chat service. In our opinion, the ChatGPT subscription has little added value at the moment, because the free version is often accessible and relatively fast. So it mainly depends on the new features whether ChatGPT Plus is worth closing. For now, the free version is still good.
