Citroën ë-Jumpy Hydrogen presented

Hardly a week goes by without a new van from Stellantis! Now Citroën presents its hydrogen version of the Jumpy, the ë-Jumpy Hydrogen.

The brands of the former Groupe PSA take turns coming up with an expansion of the van range. In addition to battery-electric delivery vans, Stellantis also invests in hydrogen buses. Opel started with the Vivaro-e Hydrogen, Peugeot followed with the e-Expert Hydrogen and now it’s Citroën’s turn.

It should come as no surprise that the ë-Jumpy Hydrogen is technically the same as the aforementioned. This means that the Citroën with a preference for hydrogen instead of the well-known 50 kWh or 75 kWh battery packs has a 10.5 kWh unit in combination with a fuel cell on board. The battery pack or fuel cell feeds a 136 hp electric motor and if you fill the hydrogen tank completely, you can cover 400 km (WLTP) purely on hydrogen. With the battery pack charged, an additional 50 km of range is added.

The ë-Jumpy Hydrogen offers some extra space due to the installation of the fuel cell, which is taken up by the considerably larger battery pack in the fully electric ë-Jumpy. It comes in two well-known lengths: the 4.95 meter long M and the 5.30 meter long XL. Prices are not yet there, Citroën says delivery will start in the second half of this year.
