Tonight I have to give a presentation. At my wife’s chicken club. Every once in a while they organize a social gathering and there is always someone who tells a story; for about 30 minutes. This time I am that someone. I have given a presentation there before and that resulted in one complaint: “Too sour!” Yes, at the chicken club they all have a sweet tooth and at the time I came with some snacks that were quite spicy. Although? They were French snacks so the spicy part wasn’t that bad. But still…
This time I’m going to try something different with a batch of carefully selected liqueurs and lots of sweets in between: “You want sweets, you get sweets!” But hey, that still requires a presentation. And that wasn’t easy in the end. I bought the drinks and sweets at all kinds of local markets. And they don’t use the internet at those local markets! Social media and search engines didn’t respond either. So I had to surf the old-fashioned way from link to link to link. And then I found something via-via-via. Along the way you find even more and before you know it, it’s well past midnight. And the alarm goes off at 6:30! I don’t have to worry about that presentation anymore: “Enough stories!”
