The next generation Porsche Macan breaks dramatically with its predecessor in an important area. While the current Macan is only available with powerful combustion engines, the completely new Macan will only have electric powertrains. We can now show you the workplace of that electric Macan.
Porsche has refreshed or even completely renewed a large part of its model range in a short time. For example, we were recently introduced to a completely new generation of the Panamera and the brand came up with a thoroughly updated version of the Cayenne. The Macan is also not forgotten, although it seemed that way before. After all, the current generation Porsche Macan was first shown to the public in 2013 and will therefore blow out eleven candles on its automotive birthday cake in 2024, if it exists. In 2024, Porsche will finally release a completely new Macan. It will be completely electric and can now be seen inside on the proverbial eve of its debut.
The new Porsche Macan has an interior that to a certain extent follows the style of the workplaces found in the Cayenne and Panamera, interiors that in turn build on that of the Taycan. The Macan has a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster and an infotainment screen measuring almost 11 inches. But there’s more. Anyone who chooses – and therefore pays extra – will receive a third display in the Macan. This is located in front of the co-driver’s seat and has the same diagonal as the infotainment screen. For safety reasons, the driver cannot enjoy the video images that are conjured up on that screen.
A first for the Macan: it will be the first Porsche with a head-up display that uses augmented reality. More information about the interior? Do we have. For example, the electric Porsche Macan will have a light strip consisting of 56 LEDs that should provide a nice ambiance. The new Macan will be a technical brother of the equally electric Audi Q6 e-tron and therefore shares the PPE modular EV platform with that car. Here you can read more about the technology of the electric Porsche Macan that will be launched on the market in 2024.
