Subtle as always

Audi takes a closer look at the current generation of the A3. The Audi A3 introduced in 2020 will soon start its second round with a slightly refreshed look and now we see how that plays out for the RS3.
Audi has been refining the A3 for a while now and it seems that they are almost done. At least, if the RS3 is already next, it probably means that the unveiling of the renewed basic A3 will not be long in coming. But the party is not complete until the sporty top version has also been renewed, so we take a look at it.
The most important innovations of the facelift are the revised infill of the headlights and taillights, while the bumper work has been adjusted. It seems that the S3 and the RS3 get a slightly different light signature than the less fortunate A3s. With this partly wrapped RS3, just like recently with the S3, we see some more loose elements in the rear lights, especially in the part on the tailgate. At the front, it seems that the slot between the grille and the bonnet disappears and that the grille extends slightly less further at the bottom of the bumper.
The Audi RS3 will undoubtedly come again with the 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder, which may receive a small power injection. Currently, the RS3 is good for 400 hp as standard and 407 hp as Performance. The maximum torque is 500 Nm in both cases. The renewed Audi RS3 will also come as a Limousine again and we don’t expect it to be on the market until the new year.
