Facelifted Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross shows up

Mitsubishi has a thoroughly facelifted Eclipse Cross in the development rooms. Thanks to the Spanish Cochespias, it is easy to see what the renewed SUV will look like.

Mitsubishi is about to give the Eclipse Cross a thorough facelift. The brand previously showed a set of teaser images of the renewed SUV, but never before has the renewed Eclipse Cross been seen as well as now. The Spanish Cochespias has obtained the brochure of the sharpened Mitsubishi and that provides an excellent picture of the front view of the car.

The renewed Eclipse Cross gets a more aggressive design and therefore slightly more eccentric front. The top layer of viewers, the LED daytime running lights, is a lot flatter and the complete front bumper is completely new. The large compartments in which the headlights are incorporated will remain, although their interpretation is completely different. The earlier teaser plates already showed that Mitsubishi has also radically renewed the rear of the Eclipse Cross. It will soon be done with the light bar running the entire width of the rear, a design element that divides the rear window into two parts. The new units will soon run upwards again into the C-pillars, but will no longer be optically linked.

Equally interesting is the version of the renewed Eclipse Cross that can be seen in these photos. The front screen shows the Plug-in Hybrid EV designation from Mitsubishi, which means that the car, like its big brother Outlander, has a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Whether the renewed Eclipse Cross will come to the Netherlands remains to be seen. After all, Mitsubishi is in the process of closing its European chapter at least temporarily.
