Fiat 500 Jolly of F1 driver Lando Norris under the hammer

Cheerful car from a cheerful guy

Fiat 500 Jolly of F1 driver Lando Norris under the hammer

McLaren driver Lando Norris is usually quite a cheerful figure and that of course also includes a cheerful car. The Fiat 500 Jolly was an understandable choice in that respect, but apparently it is now time for Norris to say goodbye to it.

You might expect Formula 1 drivers to only have bloody fast cars in their garage. That is often the case, but McLaren driver Lando Norris started his car collection slightly differently. The first car he bought was a real Fiat 500 Jolly. Definitely not a streak-setter, but of course a car that was perfectly at home in Norris’ hometown of Monaco. However, he now apparently needs some more space in his garage (although the space gain is of course very limited), because he is selling the 500 again.

Fiat 500 Jolly

Will you take this steering wheel in your hands?

It’s about a Fiat 500 Jolly from 1972, a creation of Carrozzeria Ghia from one of the last years of production of the 500. According to the auctioneer, Car & Classic, the playful convertible is expected to sell for between €32,000 and €38,000. Quite a bit of money, although relatively speaking it will be change for Norris by now. Maybe he can put the proceeds into a new Fiat 500 Jolly from Castagna Milano or he has his sights set on the also quite Jolly-like Fiat Topolino.
