Fiat renews Toro pick-up

Fiat renews Toro pick-up

Fiat is making a facelift on the Toro, a compact pick-up with four regular doors and two smart rear doors that provide access to a short cargo bed. In terms of concept, the Toro is comparable to the new Hyundai Santa Cruz, which is also not available in the Netherlands.

Fiat added the Toro to its South American delivery range at the end of 2015 and has now been on the market for more than five years. The idiosyncratic pick-up is now undergoing a facelift and, thanks to the adjustments, it fits better with the current Fiat model range. After all, Fiat has been proudly sticking its written brand name in the grille of its models for several years. The renewed Tipo has such a snout and the South American Argo and Strada were also fitted with a similar front.

The Toro not only gets a new emblem, the grille itself is also new and depending on the chosen version, the bullbar, the wheels and the bumpers are also slightly different than before. The interior of the Fiat Toro has also been addressed. In fact, the complete dashboard is actually new. Depending on the chosen version, the Toro will receive a digital set of instruments and the infotainment is new in all cases. The thickest versions even get a 10.1-inch vertically oriented display. The interior also has more storage space, with 26 liters there is almost twice as much to store here and there.

Fiat supplies the Toro with, among other things, a 185 hp and 270 Nm strong Flex power source that likes both ethanol and petrol. Fiat is filling the Toro with safety systems, including an emergency braking system, lane keeping assistant, automatic high beam and LED headlights.
