Apple Intelligence in the Netherlands
Apple Intelligence is finally available in Dutch! On Monday, September 22 Apple announced that all new functions from iOS 26.1 can be used in Dutch. That means that your iPhone will get many more functions soon, because almost all applications will be expanded with Apple Intelligence. Apple announced all new functions in 2024, but never translated the technology into Dutch.
It has been possible to use Apple Intelligence in the Netherlands for some time, but for that you had to adjust the settings of your iPhone to English. IOS 26.1 changes that, because Apple Intelligence can finally be used in Dutch after installing the update. Many new functions
Apple Intelligence brings many new functions in Dutch to the iPhone, iPad and Mac. This way you can put together images yourself in Image Playground, a new application that comes to all Apple devices. In this app you feed descriptions, images and other suggestions, Apple Intelligence then makes a picture based on these assignments. These images are stored in Image Playground and can easily be added to your photo library.
With Apple Intelligence in Dutch it is not only possible to make your own images, you can also put together your own emoji with Genmoji. Based on a person or emoji you can create a genmoji with the help of themes, suggestions, costumes and facial expressions. This is then shared via WhatsApp, messages or another message service as a sticker, so that it is visible to all users. This also applies to users without Apple Intelligence.
Writing aid and smarter Siri
With Apple Intelligence it becomes much easier to create images and emoji in Dutch yourself, but that is not nearly everything. With Apple Intelligence, your iPhone, iPad and Mac (book) get a handy writing aid. This new function can rewrite, summarize and improve texts. In addition, it is easier to adjust the tone of the text and the writing aid can improve language and spelling errors.
Do you regularly use Siri? The voice assistant becomes much smarter with Apple Intelligence, because Siri is being expanded with more language models. Siri also understands better what is on the screen and can perform multiple assignments in succession. For example, the voting assistant can convert a photo to another file and then send it to a contact person in your list. With Apple Intelligence in Dutch you can pronounce these assignments to Siri in one go.
Release of Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence also makes Apple’s mail app much more clear. All emails are sorted by artificial intelligence. This way you see important messages earlier than emails that are not time -dependent. This also applies to notifications that are arranged in a smart way and are summarized. You don’t have to worry about privacy, because all tasks are turned locally on your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
We don’t have to wait long for Apple Intelligence, the new technology comes to your iPhone with iOS 26.1. The iPad and Mac (book) get iPados 26.1 and macOS 26.1 at the same time. It is expected that Apple will release these updates at the end of October. When we look at previous software versions, a release in the week of October 27, 2025 plausible.
