The first Apple event of 2025 is coming! On Monday 9 June Apple organizes the first event of the year. The WWDC takes place that day, with the most important software updates of 2025 being presented. Apple then reveals which new functions to iOS 19, iPados 19, MacOS 16, Watchos 12, TVOS 19 and Visionos 3 are coming. The expectations are high, because Apple is said to work on a new design for multiple operating systems.
According to rumors, iOS 19, iPados 19 and MacOS 16 get a renewed interface, which we will see for the first time at the Apple event of 2025. The operating systems take over many elements from Visionos, the software developed especially for the Apple Vision Pro. Many new functions
At the first Apple event of 2025, the company presents all new functions that will be released later this year. A completely new camera app is expected for both the iPhone and iPad, with an adapted layout. Siri is also improved and Apple Intelligence may become available in more languages, including Dutch. Earlier this month, Apple already unveiled the first functions of iOS 19.
In addition, the Health app on the iPhone will receive a new coach who can give health tips and fitness advice. We probably also see this health coach in Watchos 12. The operating system of the Apple Watch probably also takes over elements from Visionos, but does not get a completely new interface. However, Apple Intelligence is coming to Watchos for the first time, where the features are loaded via the iPhone. We will no doubt belong to that at the first Apple event in 2025.
Apple event with new hardware?
What new functions are coming to macOS and TVOS is still unclear, few rumors have surfaced about these operating systems. At the WWDC, Apple traditionally announces the most important software updates, but it is quite possible that we will also see new hardware this year. The Mac Pro with M4 Ultra chip, iMac Pro with M4 Pro chip and the new Homepad may be announced at the first Apple event of 2025.
The latter is a completely new device from Apple, which combines the HomePod with the Apple TV and the iPad Mini. The second generation of the airtag is also expected this spring, whereby the next Apple event from 2025 may be a good time to announce the new tracker.
