According to the last rumors, there will be a foldable iPhone in 2026. But that is not the only new model you can expect.
Foldable iPhone is already coming in 2026 (but that is not all)
Usually reliable Apple connoisseur Mark Gurman has given some more information in his newsletter about the iPhones that Apple will release this year (and next year). Especially the iPhones that he believes will come in 2026 are very interesting.
According to Gurman, two new iPhones are coming. The first foldable iPhone is planned for 2026. In addition, there is also a second iPhone with a new design.
That there is iPhone with a new design is quite striking. Because Apple is already introducing a kind of new design with the iPhone 17 Air (which will come this year). In addition, the rumors also say that the iPhone 17 Pro models (and in particular the back) will also change this year.
Unfortunately, no Gurman no further information about the new design of the devices that will come in 2026. But it is probably good that Apple is going to refresh the design of the iPhone. We have had the same design with the iPhones for years.
Perhaps the iPhone 18 will be one of the first devices in which the basic model also gets a new design. Of course it still looks like coffee grounds, but Tim Cook said that there is still ‘a lot of innovation’ for iPhone planning.
The newest iPhone
At the moment the newest iPhone is the iPhone 16th. The iPhone 16th has received many functions of the iPhone 16. He has a 6.1-inch OLED screen with Face ID. The device runs on the A18 chip and therefore has support for all Apple Intelligence functions. The battery life of the iPhone 16th is very nice. Because the phone lasts no less than 26 hours. With the regular iPhone 16 that is ‘only’ 22 hours.
