Ford Mustang Mach-E GT gets even more powerful

The Ford Mustang Mach-E should of course not undermine the image of the regular Mustang, so it will look sporty. Especially as GT. This sporty top version has even more to offer than initially thought.

At the unveiling of the fully electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, we already heard about a sporty top version: the GT. The fact that it would not stop with the previously communicated performance figures of the Mustang Mach-E GT, however, comes as a surprise. Ford takes it one step further. Inquiry from Techzle learns that Ford communicates revised performance figures from the US that will also apply to the European Mustang Mach-E GT. The Mustang Mach-E GT does not deliver 465 hp and 820 Nm, but 488 hp and 860 Nm. Just 23 hp and 40 Nm more than Ford first promised, so. That power is released by the two electric motors on all four wheels and in the GT the largest battery pack (98 kWh) is responsible for the power supply.

There is one caveat, however. For the time being, the higher power does not seem to lead to a faster sprint time. There is still 3.7 seconds for a sprint from a standstill to 100 km / h. Not that you can complain about that. Those who take it easy should be able to cover up to 500 km on a full charge with the Mustang Mach-E GT according to the WLTP cycle. The Performance Edition is not only more powerful, but also has a specially tuned adaptive MagneRide suspension and 20-inch alloy wheels hiding red calipers and Brembo brakes. The GT will be available in a set of special colors that are not available on the other versions: Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange. More specifications and prices will follow, for now you have to be patient because the Mustang Mach-E GT will come to the Netherlands at the end of next year.
