Plugin will come later
Three years ago, the Volkswagen Caddy got a Ford brother for passenger transport. Now there is also an order version and the new Ford Transit Connect will come to the Netherlands. We have the prices.
Ford has been working with Volkswagen for years and this will soon result in Volkswagen, for example, a brand new Transporter. Ford, in turn, received the Ford Tourneo Connect based on the Volkswagen Caddy in 2021. That passenger van is not available in the Netherlands, but the van variant was recently closed and it will be coming here. The Ford Transit Connect has now been added to the Dutch order lists.
Just like the Tourneo Connect, it is available as a plug-in hybrid and it will also come to the Netherlands, but that won’t happen until the end of this year. For the time being it starts with diesel power. The Ford Transit Connect costs at least €22,900 excluding VAT and BPM and then you have it with a 102 hp 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine with six-speed manual transmission and as a Trend. If you want it with a 122 hp self-igniter (always with a seven-speed automatic), you will spend €28,300. However, it was immediately produced as Limited. By the way, it is also available as a Limited with the 102 hp power source (again with manual gearbox) and it is nicely in between at a price of €25,400.
The Ford Transit Connect is currently only available in length size L2 and then it offers 3.7 cubic meters of loading space, you can load it up to 792 kilos and it can tow 1,500 kilos. Standard (Trend) you have a 10-inch infotainment screen, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and the option to put Android Auto and Apple Carplay on the screen. Cruise control, hill start assist and front and rear parking sensors are included as standard. With the Limited you get painted bumpers and handles, chrome trim parts around the grille and fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a wireless charger in the center console, a heated windshield, keyless entry, rubber loading floor protection and some more glitter in the interior.
