Not for us at the moment
Genesis has its flagship G90 almost ready for the European market. In Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom they can soon welcome the Genesis G90.
Already a year and a half ago we were introduced to the Genesis G90, the South Korean answer to cars such as the Mercedes-Benz S-class and BMW 7-series. First we got to see the outside and eventually the curtain came off the special interior of the G90. Genesis was initially not going to bring its top model to Europe, but it has come back to that. The G90, which is equally available in its home country of South Korea, is now also ready for the European market.
The G90 for Europe can already be admired extensively on the German, Swiss and British websites of Genesis. For the time being it seems to be mainly photos that were already taken at the introduction of the G90 and a German license plate has been put on the car with Photoshop. So we should not expect any striking external novelties at the European G90. Also on a technical level we encounter not entirely surprisingly familiar things. For example, the European G90 will receive a 415 hp version of the 3.5-liter biturbo V6 that is also available in the G80, among other things. The drive is on all four wheels and shifting is done with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Genesis is now giving German, Swiss and UK customers the chance to express their interest. Prices will follow.
It remains to be seen whether and when the Genesis G90 will come to the Netherlands. For the time being, Genesis is therefore focusing on the three countries mentioned, but Genesis may also be heading this way next year. There is only a good chance that the brand will only try it here with the electric models and the G90 will therefore pass us by. Shame?
