Giant Lincoln Navigator soon under the knife

Anyone who thinks that with the arrival of the Ford Explorer the Dutch car market has been enriched with one of the largest SUVs that America has to offer, is wrong. One step above the Explorer, Ford has the immense Expedition, a colossus that has a shiny premium brother in the form of the Lincoln Navigator. That Navigator is about to undergo a facelift.

The Ford Expedition is the 5.33-meter-long full-size SUV brother of the 5.05-meter-long Explorer that Ford recently also offers in the Netherlands. Shortly after the launch of the current generation Expedition, sister brand Lincoln in the United States added an all-new Navigator related to that SUV to its line-up. Lincoln later proved that it can always be even bigger with the mighty Navigator L. With its length of no less than 5.64 meters, the extended version is another thirty centimeters longer than the original. In the United States, the Navigator L was snapped with a psychedelic sticker sheet. This of course indicates that the Navigator will soon undergo a facelift.

The Lincoln Navigator L in these pictures is still fanatically in the stickers, but some of the appearance is already visible. It seems that the grille changes shape slightly and that the headlights get extensions that continue into the front fenders. What exactly changes at the back is not yet entirely clear. However, it is obvious that Lincoln adjusts the lighting slightly so that the lighting is more in line with that of the younger Aviator.

Unfortunately, the new Navigator is not coming to the Netherlands.
