On Android, you can take screenshots of what you see on the screen right now. The function is sometimes a bit hidden on some smartphones, so not everyone always knows how it works. You can now at least take screenshots of websites within Google Chrome on Android.
Taking screenshots is super handy. Especially when you want to share something quickly or when you want to add a note or joke to something. Within Google Chrome you can now instantly share screenshots with your friends of web pages you visit. You’ll find the new option in the browser’s share menu. In this article, we’ll cover how to take, edit, and share screenshots.
Take screenshots in Google Chrome
To take screenshots, go to the share menu in Google Chrome. At the top right you will find three dots. That’s the menu where we need to be. Within that menu you will find sharing options. Tap the cup Share and then tap the option at the bottom left Screenshot. You can recognize it by the square with a plus sign next to it. You will now immediately see the screenshot you have made. Unfortunately, the menu at the top is also included, but you can prevent that by scrolling down a bit on the page. If all is well, the url bar will disappear.
At the bottom there are now three options: Crop, Text and Draw. The options may speak for themselves, but we’ll go through them with you.
- Crop: This option allows you to control the size of the image. For example, you can remove the aforementioned URL bar or focus on a specific part of the screenshot.
- Text: add text to a photo. You can of course decide for yourself what you type. You can also adjust the color and determine where the text will be placed and in what way. You can enlarge and reduce the text and place it diagonally in the image.
- Drawing: Finally, we have Drawing. This allows you to edit an image as you wish. You can add drawings, draw lines, put a circle around something – let your imagination run wild. You decide with which color you go and you can adjust the thickness of the line.
After editing
Are you done editing? Then you can click on the top right Next one to press. You can now choose whether to share a screenshot immediately, save it to your smartphone or delete it. If you choose to save an image, you will find it in the Downloads folder. The option is now rolling out to anyone using Chrome on Android.
