Watchos 26 is coming

So for really big innovations you should not be at Watchos 11.6, but still have to be patient until Watchos 26 comes. With the following software version, Apple skips a number of songs and major changes are coming to the smartwatch. For example, Apple introduces a new interface and the Apple Watch is expanded with more functions.

The interface for the Apple Watch then takes over several parts of Visionos, which is the operating system for the Apple Vision Pro. You will see many transparent frameworks and glass elements in Watchos 26.

With Watchos 26, four new features also come to a number of Apple Watches. It is a new wrist gesture, with which you can close notifications by simply turning your wrist. Other new parts are live translating, smart reactions to messages and automatic adjustment of the volume of the Apple Watch.

For these functions you must have an Apple Watch Series 9 or newer. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 also gets these functions.
