This now causes a malfunction at the Chromecasts, which means that streaming is no longer possible.

Google responded and indicated to be aware of the problem on the Reddit message. The company confirms that it is a malfunction with the second generation of the Chromecast and with the Chromecast Audio. At the moment, Google is working on a solution, but it is not yet clear when the problem will be resolved. The company will probably be publishing an update for the Chromecasts soon to resolve the malfunction.

Chromecast not resetting
