Honda e:N2 Concept: electric Honda less relevant than you think

Honda currently only has one EV on offer in Europe. Yet the brand is engaged in a huge EV offensive, although it mainly takes place outside our continent. With a new study model, Honda looks further ahead on its EV future.

Honda shows a new study model that it hangs on the e:N label, a line of new all-electric models. Are you charmed by this concept car called e:N2? Then Honda will disappoint you for the time being. The Honda e:N2 Concept looks ahead to an electric model especially intended for the Chinese market. Honda’s e:N line has therefore been developed especially for the Chinese market.

Honda does not yet share technical data for the e:N2, although it does indicate that the study model is on a platform specifically intended for EVs that it has dubbed e:N Architecture F. The e:N2 Concept is not the first show car of the e:N series that Honda shows. Earlier, Honda presented three futuristic e:N show cars to the Chinese light and simultaneously pulled the curtain on two electric derivatives of the HR-V.

Honda is spreading its EV chances. For example, the brand has entered into an enormous collaboration with General Motors, of which the Honda Prologue is the first concrete electric fruit. Ultimately, Honda wants to build millions of EVs annually with General Motors. However, the European market does not forget Honda. In 2023, Honda will also launch an electric alternative to the HR-V in Europe. Honda is also working with Sony on electric cars. The first of these will come in 2026 and may also appear on European territory.
