What time does the postman arrive with a package? Keep an eye on it with the tracking system ‘Track and Trace’.
What is Track and Trace?
If someone sends a package, there is a code on the proof of shipment. This is the so-called Track & Trace code, also known as the shipment number. With this code, the sender and receiver can track the package over the internet. For example, they see whether the package has left the drop-off point and is at the delivery service, whether the package has been loaded into the delivery van and finally what the expected delivery time is.
If you order something via the internet, you will usually receive a Track & Trace code by email. This comes from the web store or from the postman. Companies such as Post.nl, DPD and DHL often send emails to let you know that the deliverer is on his way. The email states which company the order comes from and when they will deliver the package to your home. We call this Track and Trace or Track and Trace in English.

Real mail or phishing?
Are you ordering something on the internet? The sender usually informs you when the package has been sent. There may be a Track & Trace code or link in the email. Criminals also occasionally send large amounts of phishing emails about packages. Do you expect nothing and has no one ordered anything from your house? When in doubt, don’t click anything. Check the language and the sender. Members of SeniorWeb can forward emails to the Phishing Checker to have them checked.
