IKEA has announced a completely new series of speakers

IKEA has of course been selling speakers for much longer, but the company has now announced a completely new series. You need to know this.

Ikea is launching a new series of speakers

IKEA has been combining speakers and lamps for some time, and now comes with a completely new version, together with new round speakers. The company collaborated with designer Tekla Evelina Severin for the new series. IKEA says the following in the announcement:

“IKEA and Tekla Evelina Severin (Teklan) present a new line of products that connect technology with personal style. Born from a collaboration that puts expression first, the line is vibrant and playful, featuring high-quality sound products with bold patterns and unexpected color combinations set to make technology a more enjoyable and visible part of the home. The collaboration builds on Teklan’s distinctive color language and her way of balancing playfulness with geometric form, often exploring how two- and three-dimensional design meet to create depth and movement. By combining her creative approach with IKEA’s design knowledge, the line brings color, light, and sound together in new ways.”

IKEA and Tekla Evelina Severin (Teklan) present a new product line that combines technology with personal style. This line arose from a collaboration in which expression comes first. Speaker lamp: KULGLASS

The new speaker lamp from IKEA is called KULGLASS, a speaker lamp. This Bluetooth speaker is based on the shape of soft ice cream and is available in the colors green with red and brown with pink. Unfortunately, the speakers do not support AirPlay, so you have to rely on Bluetooth.

The KULGLASS is somewhat similar in appearance SYMPHONISMspeaker from IKEA and Sonos. The foot in particular appears to be almost identical. You could integrate the SYMFONISK speakers into the Sonos ecosystem and the IKEA Home Smart platform. AirPlay was also supported, which is unfortunately lacking in the KULGLASS.

Round speakers: SOLSKYDD

IKEA has three new round speakers called SOLSKYDD, the two smallest of which can be placed free-standing or mounted on the wall. The largest is only suitable for hanging on the wall. There is a compact orange version with a checked pattern, a slightly larger green version with diagonal blue and white stripes, and a large version in orange.

Prices and availability IKEA speakers

The new series of speakers from IKEA will be available from January 2026. The KULGLASS speaker lamp will cost 110.99 euros (99.99 euros in Belgium). This is the same amount you have to pay for the large, orange-red SOLSKYDD. The smallest SOLSKYDD speaker will be for sale for 49.99 euros. The slightly larger green version will cost 69.99 euros (49.99 euros in Belgium).
