Images in email in Outlook.com

You can, of course, attach photos to an email message, but sometimes it’s more fun to paste the picture into the email message itself. The recipient will see the image immediately when opening the email.

Inserting a picture in an email is very easy with Outlook.com. This is different from sending a photo in an attachment. To insert a picture into an email message:

  • surf to www.outlook.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  • click on New message.
  • In the box below ‘To’, type the recipient’s email address.
  • Under ‘Add subject’, type the subject.
  • Click on ‘Add message’ to get to the message field.
  • Click the ‘Insert Inline Pictures’ icon at the bottom.
  • An overview of the folders on your computer appears. Browse to the folder where the image is located and click on the desired image. Then click To open.
  • The image is now in your email. Is the image too large or too small? Then click on the image. A small square appears in each corner of the image. Click on a square and drag it out to enlarge the image.
  • You can add text above and below the image.
  • click on Send.

The email has been sent.
