Infiniti QX60 shows its dashboard

Infiniti shows a glimpse of the dashboard of the all-new QX60. That car will be unveiled on June 23, although that is of course not so relevant for Europeans.

The Infiniti QX60 is the most popular Infiniti in the US, yet a very important market for the model. The model, which has never been sold in Europe, can be described as the premium brother of the Nissan Pathfinder. It is a seven-seater SUV and as such Infiniti sees it as a competitor for cars like the Volvo XC90 and Lexus RX, but also for the Acura MDX, not known here.

Buttons

Now that Nissan Pathfinder has recently been given a whole new look. That means that a new QX60 is imminent. Not a superfluous luxury, because the model has been around since 2012. After previous images of a camouflaged exterior, we now get to see an interior. That looks clearly higher quality than that of the Murano. Distinctive elements are the optically wall-to-wall ventilation grille and the diamond-stitched leather (or leather-like material) on the dashboard. The screen is placed on top, but the Infiniti still gets a button cluster for the climate control.

Infiniti immediately mentions when the unveiling of this family SUV should take place: June 23 is the day.

JX35

The current QX60 was initially called JX, followed by a ’35’ for the displacement of the V6. However, the model was renamed QX60 in 2014, in line with the rest of the Infiniti range. That luxury brand of Nissan has also tried it in Europe, but stopped those attempts in 2020. The QX60 – or JX- has never been available here.
