Volkswagen will soon be pulling the curtain off the electric ID.4. Before that, we will undoubtedly get the necessary design sketches and teaser videos. This time, Volkswagen shows how the interior of the ID.4 is designed.
The ID.3 presented last year is the first car from Volkswagen developed purely as an EV, but certainly not the last. There are a bunch of ID models in the barrel, of which the soon to be revealed ID.4 is one of them. In fact, you should see the ID.4 as the SUV brother of the ID.3, a car that will soon compete against, for example, the electric Ariya from Nissan. Sister brand Skoda has recently presented its variant on the ID.4 theme in the form of the Enyaq. Volkswagen will soon show the definitive ID.4, but first the brand will serve up a set of drawings of the interior of the ID.4.
Fair is fair: the inside of the ID.4 hardly provides any surprises. Of course, it looks like Skoda’s Enyaq, although the interior of the electric SUV is even more similar to that of the ID.3. Where the Enyaq has physical buttons under the ventilation grilles in the center console, the ID.4, just like the ID.3, has touch-sensitive buttons and ‘sliders’ directly below the infotainment screen. Volkswagen has already released that the luggage space of the ID.4 is 543 liters. That is considerably more than the 385 liters that the ID.3 swallows, but slightly less than the 585 liters that its Czech counterpart offers space. Ambient lighting with a total of 30 adjustable colors should be able to brighten up the interior.

The ID.4 will make its public debut later this month. We expect that various battery packs and electric motors will be available. The basic version will probably get a 55 kWh battery pack and a 150 hp electric motor, good for a range of about 340 kilometers. Above that, a 180 hp variant with a 62 kWh battery pack may be given a place, good for a range of 390 kilometers. You can also count on the arrival of versions with an 82 kWh package, which can be linked to various electric motors. There will also probably be a version with a 204 strong electric motor that is good for 510 kilometers of electric breath, above that there will probably be variants of 265 hp and 306 hp.
