iOS 15.2 Beta 4 is Out: Public Release Approaching

Apple has released the fourth beta of iOS 15.2. This is the next major interim update that brings many new features to the iPhone. An official release seems imminent.

iOS 15.2 beta 5

The fourth beta of iOS 15.2 is available to developers and public testers. The iPadOS 15.2 beta 4 is also out, as are the test versions of watchOS 8.3 and tvOS 15.2. It seems that Apple has mainly made iOS 15.2 more stable and fixed several bugs. We have not spotted any major changes yet.

Those big changes were present in the previous betas, which showed that Apple is adding many new features in iOS 15.2. One notable innovation is, for example, the privacy report for apps, which shows which apps have had access to sensitive data, such as your location and photos, in the past week.

Digital Legacy

Another big new feature is Digital Legacy, which allows you to manage your digital legacy. With the option you get the possibility to add an inheritance contact. After your death, he or she will have access to the data on your iPhone, such as your photos, documents and contacts.

In the Find My app it becomes possible to scan AirTags that may be following you. There you will find the option ‘Items that can follow me’. Tap this and the iPhone will search for nearby devices that can be used to track your location. These are bluetooth trackers that are activated in the Find My app, such as the AirTag.

We expect it won’t be long until the iOS 15 interim update is available for everyone to install. Possibly next week, otherwise the week after. Want to stay up to date with the latest iPhone features? Sign up for our newsletter!
