It’s time to update your iPhone again, because iOS 17.3.1 is out. Here you can read what the changes are and whether there are any new functions.
iOS 17.3.1 is out: these are the changes
Apple has released another (minor) update for your iPhone. And to get straight to the point: there are no new functions this time. It is important to install the update as soon as possible. An annoying bug (software error) is being resolved according to the included release notes from Apple.
This error caused text to be displayed twice (on top of each other) while typing. Even if you are not affected by this specific bug, it is important to update to iOS 17.3.1 as soon as possible. Apple also sometimes fixes other issues not mentioned in the included notes.
Just install
You will automatically receive a message that an update is ready for your iPhone. But don’t you want to wait? Then you manually check for the update in the following way.
- Tap ‘Settings’;
- Go to ‘General’;
- Tap ‘Software Update’ and choose iOS 17.3.1.
New features coming in iOS 17.4
There are no new features in iOS 17.3.1. For that you have to wait until iOS 17.4. This will be a major update for your iPhone, with important changes to the App Store and the NFC chip. This makes it possible to install apps that are not in the App Store.
