iOS 17: These iPhones are getting the update
It is still a while before iOS 17 becomes available to everyone, but Apple has already announced which iPhones will receive the update. Unfortunately, a few iPhones are also going to fall off.
Apple says the iPhone Xs and newer will get the update. The list of iPhones that will soon receive iOS 17 is as follows:

And these iPhones will not get the update
That means that a few iPhones are still stuck on iOS 16 and cannot switch to iOS 17. This time they are the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X. Fortunately, the smartphones that do not follow will still receive security updates. Unlike a new version of iOS, these do not add any functions, but do ensure that security remains in order.
