With iOS 18.3, Apple not only brings new features to your iPhone, but also introduces an app. This is what this application is all about!
New app in iOS 18.3
Apple just released iOS 18.2.1, which was an interim update to fix software issues. For new functions we have to wait for iOS 18.3, the first test versions of which have now been released. In the betas of iOS 18.3, the Home and Calculator apps have new features, but that’s not all. Apple is reportedly bringing a completely new app to your iPhone with iOS 18.3.
A code has surfaced in the test versions of iOS 18.3, which probably reveals a new application. Apple is reportedly working on an ‘Apple Invites’ app. This application should make it easier to organize meetings or events. You can currently use the Calendar app for this, but from iOS 18.3 onwards an additional application will be added. It is expected that the new Invites app will have more functions than the current Calendar app.
Apple Invites app
Not much is clear yet about the new Apple Invites app in iOS 18.3. A number of functions have emerged from the code. In any case, the application is intended for organizing events to which you can invite multiple people. Sending an invitation is probably done via a link, which you can share on iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram or another platform.
In the Apple Invites app you can then see who has been invited. That’s not all, because you can also see whether contacts have already accepted the invitation. This gives you an overview of those present and those contacts who are not coming. It does not matter whether the meeting takes place physically or online. You can probably add a link to online meetings or events, for example to a FaceTime call.
Release of iOS 18.3
Apple is trying to make it easier to organize both online and offline events and meetings with the new app in iOS 18.3. It is striking that a completely new application has appeared in the codes of iOS 18.3, because Apple has not yet officially announced the Invites app. Apple usually presents new apps at the WWDC in June, when the new iOS generation is announced.
It is therefore quite possible that the Apple Invites app will only come to your iPhone in a later iOS version. We’ll find out soon, because Apple will release iOS 18.3 at the end of January.
