We don’t have to wait that long before Apple shows the next version of iOS. The camera app in particular seems to change in iOS 19.
iOS 19: These functions are coming
Several rumors have since emerged about the next version of iOS. It will take about three months for Apple to show something of iOS 19, but we are already telling you what you can expect.
New camera app
On the YouTube channel Front Page Tech, Jon Prosser already showed a renewed version of the camera app that will come up with iOS 19. And the most striking change? There are now transparent menus for the various camera settings and other icons. In terms of style, these new menus are very similar to Visionos, the operating system of the Vision Pro headset.
In the renewed app you also see more of the viewfinder than is now the case in iOS 18. The controls of the camera are divided into two categories: photo and video. At the settings there are also options to record spatial videos, set a timer for your photos and more. For video recordings, additional resolution and frame rate settings also appear in the camera app of iOS 19.
We do not yet know whether this visionos-like style is also extended to other apps and parts of iOS 19. Earlier there were rumors that iOS 18 would also get these kinds of adjustments, but that turned out not to be the case. Hopefully that will happen in iOS 19.
