A new test version of iOS 26.2 is available again! Apple has released the Release Candidate of iOS 26.2 for developers. This is usually the last test version before Apple releases the final update to all users. In the new beta of iOS 26.2, Apple has made few major changes. Instead, the company is focusing on improving the new features in iOS 26.2
This is not very surprising, because Apple is bringing a number of much-requested features to the iPhone in the next software version. This way you can set an alarm in the Reminders app of your iPhone. You now receive a notification with every reminder, but that notification is often overlooked. This will change with iOS 26.2, because your iPhone will then play an alarm via the Reminders app. This alarm has the same design as an alarm clock or timer in the Clock app.
More new features
In iOS 26.2, Apple is making even more changes. This gives you more options when setting up Liquid Glass on your iPhone. A new slider lets you add the translucent design to the lock screen clock. This way you determine the transparency of the display of the clock, so that it remains easy to read for all users. Since iOS 26.1 it has been possible to control the display of Liquid Glass on the Home screen of the iPhone, in iOS 26.2 this will be expanded to the lock screen.
Apple is also expanding a number of applications with useful features. For example, Apple Music will support offline song lyrics, so you can read them even when your iPhone doesn’t have an internet connection. The sleep score in the Health app has also been improved, as it has more categories from iOS 26.2. This ensures that you gain a better insight into the quality of your night’s sleep.
