A case of the iPad 2022 has appeared in the American Target. The release is not long in coming. According to the latest rumors, the iPad 2022 will be released even later today (Tuesday, October 18).
Twitter user @roeeban spotted the case and posted the photos on Twitter. You can view the photos below.
If you look closely at the photos, you’ll see that the case of the iPad 2022 has support for the Apple Pencil 2. That means that you can probably no longer use the Apple Pencil 1 on the 10th generation iPad.
That is also in line with expectations, because the iPad 2022 will get a USB-c connection. The Apple Pencil 1 uses the Lightning cable to charge. Rumor has it that the new budget iPad will also have a larger 10.5-inch display and flat bezels just like the iPad Pro and iPad Air.
The iPad 2022 will also receive an A13 Bionic chip, which you may still know from the iPhone 12. There will also be a modest upgrade for the 12 megapixel front camera with Center Stage. The iPad 2022 will also receive more storage by default. The iPad 2021 is available from 64GB of storage, the iPad 2022 is expected to get 128GB as standard.
Touch ID will probably also remain on the iPad 2022. A few months ago, renders of the iPad 2022 appeared on which even the home button was still visible.
