Apple won’t release iPadOS 17.5 until next month, but evidence has already emerged of a cool feature of the iPad Pro 2024. We already know this!
New iPads are coming
It has been clear for some time that Apple is working on new iPads. The iPad Air and iPad Pro 2024 were originally scheduled for release last month, but due to software issues, the tablets are reportedly not expected to release until May. Evidence has now been found in that software for a cool new feature of the iPad Pro 2024. The tablet will have an OLED screen for the first time.

Apple released the first test version of iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 last week. Four new codes were found in the beta of iPadOS, which reveal the new feature of the iPad Pro 2024. The new firmware has been specially developed for the new screen of the 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro. These models will be released twice, because there will be both a WiFi and Cellular version. All four versions of the iPad Pro 2024 have the new OLED screen.
OLED screen causes delay
Apple is giving the 11-inch version a major update in particular, because it is switching from an LCD to an OLED display. The 12.9-inch version has the same screen, but of course a bit larger. The advantage of the new feature is that the screen of the iPad Pro 2024 requires less power and lasts longer. In addition, LED screens have greater color accuracy and better contrast.
Unfortunately, the new screen of the iPad Pro also has a disadvantage. According to rumors, this new display will result in longer delivery times, especially for the 11-inch model, making it wise to buy the tablet as soon as possible. The stock is probably limited, especially because Apple has not yet produced an 11-inch OLED screen. In addition to the software problems, this is an important cause for the delayed release of the iPad Pro 2024.
Release of the iPad Pro 2024
In addition to the new OLED screen, Apple also provides the iPad Pro 2024 with the fast M3 chip, which we previously saw in the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Other features of the iPad Pro 2024 include a thinner design, a relocated front camera and support for MagSafe. The tablet will receive a major update this year, which will make the new iPad more expensive, according to rumors.

It is currently unknown what price tag the iPad Pro 2024 will receive.
