Apple will present the new version of iOS and iPados during the WWDC 2025. The WWDC 2025 will start this year on June 9. During these days, among other things, the new possibilities of iOS 19 and iPados 19 are shown.
1. Menu bar for the iPad
The first striking change in iPados 19 is the addition of a menu bar. This menu bar will look a lot like that of a MacBook. This says Majin Bu who has often announced rumors about new Apple functions and Apple devices.
Many iPad owners have long wanted Apple to release some more Mac-like functions on the iPads. And it seems that the new update will take some steps again.
2. Internship manager receives an update
Internship Manager is a position where you can multitask more easily and automatically organize your opened apps and windows. This way your desktop remains a lot clearer. The window with which you work is in the middle of your screen and the other apps are on the side.
One of the new functions in iPados 19 is an improved version of Stage Manager. Nothing is known yet what Apple intends to change in the position. But hopefully some features will be added so that Stage Manager will be used more often.
3. New design and appearance
With iPados 19 (and iOS 19), Apple is going to work on the appearance. According to rumors, Apple is big with a completely new look for the operating system. In addition, they were inspired by Visionos, the system of the Apple Vision Pro glasses. So expect more transparent frameworks, playful depths and subtle shadows.
4. Siri is getting smarter
With iPados 19, Siri will finally get some more functions. These AI functions were first planned for iPados 18, but in the end Apple did not do that.
With the new functions, Siri will soon become a lot smarter and the assistant, for example, also knows what can be seen on your screen and can answer questions about it. Siri also gets many more functions in other apps.
It is not known whether and when these functions will also come to the Netherlands. Apple Intelligence is only available here when you put the language and region of your iPad on the English language.
