According to a well-known person, the design of the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) is undergoing a major overhaul. The smartphones may have very thin and curved screen edges. The design would resemble that of the Apple Watch Series 8.
‘New design for iPhone 15 Pro (Max)’
September is still a long way off, but the rumor mill about the new iPhones is already well underway. The usually reliable tasty ShrimpApplePro writes on Twitter that Apple is significantly revamping the design of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra). Both smartphones may get much thinner screen edges. These so-called bezels would also be curved. The screen itself remains completely flat.
The new iPhones will therefore resemble the Apple Watch Series 8. Older devices, such as the iPhone 11 Pro, already had such a design with so-called curved 2.5D glass. However, the edges of the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) are much thinner.
The regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus also get the new design with curved screen edges. However, according to ShrimpApplePro, the bezels on these phones aren’t getting any thinner. We know that strategy from the past. The regular iPhone 11 had much thicker bezels than the Pro models. However, Apple would provide the loafers with the Dynamic Island this year.
We already know this about the iPhone 15 series
In addition to the new design, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max get even more improvements. They run on a faster A17 chip and may no longer have physical buttons. This makes them even better protected against water and dust. The iPhone 15 Pro Max would also have a periscope lens with which you can zoom in further.
The regular iPhone 15 and 15 Plus get the A16 chip that we know from the iPhone 14 Pro. The 48 megapixel camera of that device would also find its way to these cheaper models.
