Thinner screen edges on the iPhone 15 Pro
The release of the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) is coming and we already know a lot about the new phone. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a periscope camera and a USB-C connection for the first time. That is not the only thing, because the design of the phone is also slightly different. The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) and the iPhone 15 (Plus) will have much thinner screen edges.

The screen edges of the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) are said to be even thinner than those of the iPhone 15 (Plus). That means that the screens of all phones are slightly larger, without the need to adjust the housing of the iPhones. 9to5mac compared the new screen bezels to older iPhones, so we can see how thin the new bezels actually are.

The screen edges of the iPhone 15 will therefore become a lot thinner. With the iPhone 15 Pro (Max), the edge is only 1.55 millimeters wide. For comparison: the iPhone 14 Pro Max has screen edges of 2.17 millimeters. 9to5mac has placed previous iPhones next to the new iPhone, so you can clearly see the difference between the edges of the phones.
We see the biggest difference with the iPhone 11 Pro. Apple has gradually thinned the screen bezels of the iPhones since the launch of the iPhone X. With the iPhone 15, the edges are no less than 30 percent thinner than with the iPhone 14. As a result, you can also see a considerable difference between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 15. It is expected that the iPhone 17 will even have no screen edges at all.
