Higher prices for the iPhone 15 Pro
One more week to wait and then Apple will unveil the iPhone 15. There have been rumors for some time that iPhone prices will rise this year, with the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) in particular reportedly becoming more expensive. According to these rumors, the iPhone 15 Pro will increase in price by 100 euros, the iPhone 15 Pro Max even by 200 euros. The iPhone 15 series will therefore be a lot more expensive than the prices we saw for the iPhone 14.

Yet the higher price of the new iPhone does not necessarily mean bad news. The fact that the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) will become a lot more expensive is due to the new functions of the phone. Apple is making a number of changes to the Pro models, making the devices more expensive to make. We’ll tell you why these two features are probably worth the high price.
1. New titanium housing
The design of the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is being overhauled, as the phones will have a titanium housing. This year, Apple is switching to a new type of material for the first time in years with the iPhone 15 Pro. This means (at least for the Pro models) the end of the stainless steel casing that we have known since the iPhone X. This makes the iPhone 15 Pro a lot lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro.
The biggest advantage of the new housing: the iPhone 15 Pro Max is much better protected. Titanium is one of the strongest metals and will provide great protection for your iPhone against scratches and damage. This way your device will stay as new for longer. Titanium is more expensive than stainless steel and this is now reflected in the price of the new phones. At this higher price you have an extremely strong housing that does not break easily.
2. Camera is a huge step forward
Every year, Apple renews the iPhone camera. This year is no different: the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra) is reportedly getting a new periscope lens. Such a lens is mainly intended to zoom in much further than is currently possible with, for example, the iPhone 14 Pro. With the new camera you can probably zoom in up to 6x, while with the iPhone 14 Pro Max it is up to 3x.

The new periscope lens will only come to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which will probably make this phone even more expensive than the iPhone 15 Pro. So you pay more for the device, but you also get a really cool function in return. The camera is perhaps the most important part of the iPhone for many users. The iPhone 15 Pro Max becomes much more advanced, but at a higher price.
