In this iPhone 16 event round-up, we’ll give you the lowdown on all the products Apple has announced.
iPhone 16 event round-up
In addition to a whole series of new iPhones, Apple has unveiled more devices, including new AirPods and the Apple Watch Series 10. In this iPhone 16 event round-up, we list all the new products for you!
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are 6.1 and 6.7 inches in size and available in the colors White, Black, Blue, Teal and Pink. The storage capacity starts at 128 GB, but you can also choose 256 or 512 GB. Furthermore, both iPhones have a USB C connection and the battery has become slightly larger.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have an action button that you can assign a function to yourself and a Camera controller. You press it gently to focus, press it harder to actually take a photo, and you swipe over it to zoom in or out. The camera on the new iPhones has also been improved and both devices are equipped with the A18 chip and more RAM. This was done to realize support for Apple Intelligence.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
The new Pro models are both bigger. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is now 6.9 inches (up from 6.7 inches for the iPhone 15 Pro Max), while the iPhone 16 Pro has gone from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. A new Desert Titanium color replaces Blue Titanium from the iPhone 15 Pro series. The other colors are White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Gray Titanium. Both devices are powered by the A18 Pro chip, making them 15 to 20 percent faster than their predecessors.
The ultra-wide lens has always had a 12-megapixel camera until now, but with the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) it now becomes a 48-megapixel camera. With the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) you could already make Spatial Videos, but now it is also possible to make Spatial Photos. In addition, there is a new one at 4K resolution (120 fps). The camera controller that we mentioned with the iPhone 16 (Plus) can also be seen on the Pro models.
Apple Watch Series 10
Also in this iPhone 16 event roundup: the Apple Watch Series 10. This new Apple Watch is not only larger, but also features a much thinner design. At just 9.7mm thin (10 percent thinner than the Series 9), it features an aluminum alloy casing and comes in Jet Black, Rose Gold, and Silver. The back is also metal. There’s also a high-gloss titanium version, available in Natural, Gold, and Slate, and you can also choose between 42mm and 46mm sizes.
The new Apple Watch has improved water resistance and is now suitable for fast-paced water sports up to 6 meters (20 feet). There is also now sleep apnea detection, a feature that is also coming to the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. The Apple Watch Series 10 also has a new sensor that measures the water temperature. Handy to know before you go swimming. The same goes for the new depth sensor on the Series 10.
Apple Watch Ultra 2
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is of course not new, but Apple has presented a new version. It is a dark titanium variant that has been given the name Satin Black. Apart from the design, nothing has changed on this Apple Watch Ultra 2, but it does look sleek!
AirPods 4
We close out this iPhone 16 event round-up with the AirPods 4. The new version of the regular AirPods features noise cancellation for the first time, a feature that was previously exclusive to the AirPods Pro. Apple hasn’t made many changes to the design of the AirPods 4. The earbuds look virtually identical to the AirPods 3. The design of the charging case is also largely unchanged, but they now have a USB-C port. You can also now charge the case with your Apple Watch charger.
Apple released the AirPods in two versions for the first time this year. The AirPods 4 have advanced features like noise cancellation and an improved charging case, but they come at a higher price. Apple also released the cheaper AirPods, which are much cheaper. These earbuds look mostly like the AirPods 3 and do not have noise cancellation.
In addition to the AirPods 4, Apple also released a new version of the AirPods Max. The headphones now come with a USB-C port, so you only need one cable to charge your AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. The AirPods Max now come in Blue, Purple, Midnight, Starlight, and Orange.
Conclusion: iPhone 16 event round-up
So Apple has introduced four new iPhones (iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max), two Apple Watches (Apple Watch Series 10 and a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra 2), two versions AirPods 4 (with and without noise cancellation) and a new version of the AirPods Max.
