New rumors about the next iPhone have emerged. The iPhone 16 will have super thin edges and that is good news.
iPhone 16 gets super thin edges (and that’s nice)
According to a new rumor, the edges of the iPhone 16 will be extra thin. This will give you a slightly more usable screen on the next iPhone. Apple plans to provide every version of the iPhone 16 with these thin bezels.
Rumor has it that Apple previously tried to make the bezels as thin as the upcoming iPhone, but decided against it due to heat issues. By the way, Apple had already given the iPhone 15 thinner edges last year. Then the edge went from 2.2 millimeters (on the iPhone 14 Pro) to 1.5 millimeters on the iPhone 15 Pro.
In fact, the dimensions of the screen in the iPhone have remained virtually the same for a long time (not much has been changed since the iPhone 12 from 2020). However, that will change with the introduction of the iPhone 16 in 2024. The iPhone 16 Pro models will have a visibly larger screen than that of the iPhone 15 Pro. The thinner edges on the iPhone 16 ensure that the usable part of the screen only becomes larger.

This is when the iPhone 16 comes
The iPhone 16 will be released in September 2024 and is expected to have largely the same design as the iPhone 15. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus still have the Dynamic Island, but there are rumors that it will be available for the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. to disappear.
The Face ID sensor disappears under the screen on the more expensive models, making the Dynamic Island redundant. There is still a small dot visible near the front camera.
