It’s finally here! iPhone 16 pre-order is about to begin. Are you planning to buy the new iPhone? Starting today Friday September 13th 2:00 PM the new iPhones can be ordered.

You will have to wait a while before you receive the iPhone 16, because the official release is a week later. Friday September 20. That is also the day that you will receive the iPhone at home if you pre-order in time.

The new iPhones sell very quickly almost every year. This makes it likely that the phone will sell out quickly and delivery times will increase. Almost every new iPhone 16 model will then have longer delivery times. Therefore, prepare yourself well with the following tips!

1. iPhone 16 prices: how much do you want to spend?

It’s smart to think carefully in advance about which version of the iPhone 16 you want to buy. This year, Apple has again introduced four models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

All devices come standard with 128GB of storage, except the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which starts at 256GB. Here are the prices:

• iPhone 16 Plus (device alone or subscription):
  • 128 GB: 1119 euros
• iPhone 16 Pro (device alone or subscription):
  • 128 GB: 1229 euros
• iPhone 16 Pro Max (device alone or subscription):
  • 256 GB: 1479 euros

2. How much storage do I need?

Every iPhone (except the iPhone 16 Pro Max) comes with 128GB of storage space, which is plenty for most people. Still, it’s smart to think about how much storage you really need before you buy.

You can choose from 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage. With the Pro and Pro Max, you even have the choice of 1TB of space. Only with the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the 128GB option is not available.

The more storage you choose, the higher the price of your iPhone 16. But don’t worry, often it is not necessary to go for extra large storage. With an affordable iCloud subscription you can easily expand your storage, without spending hundreds of euros extra.

A little tip: the iPhones with less storage space are often the most popular. So do you want an iPhone 16 with 128 GB? Then don’t wait too long, because these models are often the first to sell out!

3. What color should I choose?

Apple has given this year’s iPhone some new colors again. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are available in five bright colors. These are:

• Ultramarine (blue);
• Blue-green;
• Pink;
• White;
• Black.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max come in four colors. This is due to the material used for the casing. The new color, Desert titanium, replaces the blue titanium tint from the iPhone 15 Pro series. The colors of the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) are:

• Desert titanium;
• White titanium;
• Black titanium;
• Natural titanium.

As the names suggest, the Pro models feature a titanium casing.

Which color you ultimately choose is of course very personal. Also remember that not all colors are equally expensive. For example, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are a lot cheaper than the Pro models.

4. Where do you want to buy the iPhone?

Starting September 13 at 2:00 PM, you can pre-order the brand new iPhone 16. Whether you choose the (digital) Apple Store or another (online) retailer, it is smart to decide in advance where you want to get your iPhone. That way you can place your order quickly. Do you want to pre-order the iPhone directly from Apple? Then make sure you have downloaded the Apple Store app – then you are completely ready for the big day!

Don’t forget to log in to your account on the website where you want to order the iPhone 16, so that you are sure that your password will not be a game breaker. This way you do not get stressed during the start of the sale of the iPhone 16 because you have forgotten the password!

5. Check how much your old iPhone is still worth

Do you find the latest iPhones a bit on the pricey side? Don’t worry, you can still earn some money back with your old device! There are several options to get rid of your old iPhone. For example, you can trade it in at Apple, but the compensation is often a bit on the low side. Luckily, there are several ways to trade in or sell your old iPhone and earn some extra money!

6. Order on time
