Apple has long wanted to make an iPhone without notches or holes. According to rumors, Apple plans to place both facial recognition (Face ID) and the selfie camera under the screen.
Face ID will probably be the first to disappear under the screen. Rumors say that Apple has been working for years on a way to place the necessary hardware for Face ID under the screen.
It is expected that this will actually happen with the iPhone 18 Pro. This iPhone should be launched in 2026. The camera then disappears under the screen a year later.
