Each year, the iPhone Photography Awards (IPPA) selects the best photos taken with an iPhone. Here are the 2024 winners.

Many of this year’s winning photos were taken with the latest iPhone 15 models, but there are also photos taken with an iPhone 7 Plus, for example. The overall winner of the 2024 edition is a black-and-white photo of a boy at an aquarium, Boy Meets Shark, taken by Erin Brooks from the United States using an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
In first place is a photo of a group of swimmers (Lifeguard Camp) at a lifeguard camp, photographed by Glen Wilbert from the United States with an iPhone 11 Pro Max. In second place is a photo of children in Cambodia (Pupils), photographed by Anthony Maureal from the United States with an iPhone 15 Pro.
There are also winners in a number of different categories. These include Abstract, Animals, Architecture, Children, Cityscape, Landscape, Lifestyle, Nature, People, Portrait, Series, Still Life and Travel. You can view all the winning photos on the website of the iPhone Photography Awards.
The IPPA has been organizing the iPhone Photography Awards since 2007, and the 17th annual competition will take place in 2024. The competitions are open to iPhone and iPad users worldwide, and the photos can be edited with iOS apps. There is a fee to submit a photo, but Apple devices are available as prizes.
The photo below won first prize in the Abstract category. The photo was taken by Jose Manuel Garcia Gonzalez from Spain, using an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
This is the winning photo in the Animals category. Huntsman, Horse & Hounds was taken by Colin Hoskins from England, using an iPhone 7 Plus.
And here you see the winning photo (Entrance to the Fancy Land) in the Architecture category, taken by Leping Cheng from China using an iPhone 12 Pro Max.
