Your iPhone has functions that you do not necessarily discover automatically, but that are handy-we show a few in this iPhone tips!
iPhone tips: hidden functions that come in handy
You may not use these iPhone functions and maybe you know some of them either. Yet there is a good chance that there will be one that you will use every day after today!
1. Quickly scan a document
If you have to scan a document, you can of course just take a picture of it. You can also install a special app for it. Yet there is an easier and faster way, and that is notes with the app. With that you achieve better results than with the camera app.
Moreover, you can start the scanner of the notes app at lightning speed. You do it like this:
- Find the app notes;
- Press it for a long time until a shortcut menu appears;
- In the shortcut menu, tap ‘Scan Document’.
The document scanner of the notes app is now opened immediately and you can therefore start scanning immediately.

2. Reduce white point
With the ‘Red Witpunt’ function you can get the brightness of your screen even lower than with the slider in the control panel. And if you put the function under the activation button, you can easily switch the brightness on and off. That’s how it works:
- Open the app settings;
- Tap ‘accessibility’;
- Scroll down and tap ‘Activation button’;
- Place a check mark for ‘red white point’.
If you now press three times in a row on the side button of your iPhone, the screen immediately becomes a little less bright. If you do this when the slider in the control panel is already at its lowest, you can dimming the screen a little extra in this way. Press the side button three more times in a row to turn off the function again.

3. Browse apps
Often you have opened several apps and you want from one to the other. You probably wipe up from below on the screen, after which you see all the opened apps that you can browse through. Sometimes that is the most convenient way. But there is another way, which is often faster when you don’t have too many apps open.
From one of the open apps you can go directly to another. You do that with the white bar at the bottom of the screen. If you wipe over it to the left or right, browse directly to the previous or next app. Very useful if you often have to go up and down between two apps!

4. Scroll back quickly
We all scroll together! Often you scroll down miles down in an app or on a website. And most of us scroll back in the same way when they want to go back to the beginning. But there is a much more convenient way for that!
All you have to do is tap on top of the screen, between time and the Dynamic Island (or the Notch). You then immediately return all the way up. Faster is not possible!

5. Make and share a PDF quickly
A PDF can open and view everyone, that’s why it’s a good idea to turn everything you share in it first. And that is easier on your iPhone than you think (even if it works in a bit of a strange way). You do it as follows:
- Open what you want to share and tap on the ‘sharing’ icon;
- Choose ‘pressure off’;
- Zoom with your fingers in on the preview that appears below;
- Tap the ‘sharing’ icon again;
- Share via the app of your choice.
Converting to PDF is done when you zoom in with your fingers. After that you can simply share it as you always do.
