The Kia Venga was delivered until 2019, but looks so unpretentious that it is already unimaginable that Kia would carry this model. In 2015, he got a little bolder, with an emphasis on ‘something’.
unpretentious? Well, ‘drowsy’ is also possible, but that sounds more negative than we mean. Despite its hip name, the Venga was a silent force in the Kia range, an unobtrusive, but wonderfully practical car that found a lot of buyers under the radar. The fact that those buyers were often a bit older is not clearly stated in the brochure, but it is of course no shame at all.
Nowadays, the Venga would certainly be an SUV or at least a crossover, but this MPV-like had nothing to do with that. That the Venga was a bull’s eye is also apparent from the length of his career. The car, which by the way had a brother at Hyundai in the form of the iX20, will be released in 2009. So it will last for ten years, and that without major external changes. The changes that are there will be implemented in 2015. The news is mainly in the huge panel that we call the bumper, although that piece of plastic here also includes the complete grille.
That grille will grow significantly in 2015. The ‘Tiger Nose’ shape, with the notches above and below, is more accentuated and then goes beyond just a thickening of the chrome bezel. It is striking that the space created by the much higher grille is not used, because the logo is located just above the gaping hole in the later version. Remarkably enough, nothing changes to the headlights, but the air intakes at the bottom of the bumper do get a different shape. With a different rear light layout, the facelift is complete, at least as far as the appearance is concerned.
