A remarkable spot from our spy photographer: a heavily packed Range Rover Evoque has surfaced in Germany, which is clearly larger than the already known Evoque. It seems to be a seven-seater.
The current Range Rover Evoque has only been on the market for a year and so there must be something special going on when a prototype is spotted. That is certainly the case: if you look closely you will see that this Evoque is a bit bigger than we are used to. The larger windows behind the B-pillar, the longer roof and less steeply sloping roofline indicate that this Evoque must be a bit more spacious inside. If you really zoom in, you can just see chairs or headrests where the regular Evoque only offers space for any luggage.
It therefore seems to be a seven-seater with undoubtedly a not overly spacious third row of seats. Remarkable, because until now there was not really reason to assume that such a variant of the Evoque would come. Certainly not when you consider that the seven-seat version of the Discovery Sport actually counts as a seven-seat alternative. It is therefore a somewhat mysterious story. It could also be a mule for another seven-seater within Jaguar Land Rover, but the fact that it is a completely packed body quickly means that this is really a pre-production model. We wait and see.
