iPhone 17 event
The iPhone 17 will appear soon! Apple still has to announce the devices, but rumors have now revealed a lot about the iPhones. It is expected that Apple will again release four smartphones this year, although the line-up will be different than in recent years. This year the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are planned. Curious what to expect? These say all last-minute rumors about the iPhone 17!
1. IPhone 17
According to rumors, the iPhone 17 mainly gets a number of important changes under the hood. The phone runs on the A19 chip, which is faster and more energy efficient than the current A18 chip. We see more changes with the screen of the phone, because the iPhone 17 gets a larger 6.3-inch display. This screen has for the first time about promotion, which means that Always-on this year comes to the regular iPhone for the first time.
With the front camera we also see an important change, because this will be a 24-megapixel camera. All recent iPhones still have a 12-megapixel camera, so you can take 17 photos and videos in much higher quality with the iPhone. In the design of the iPhone 17 we probably see few changes, the action button and camera control return. With the iPhone 17 you can allegedly opt for the colors black, white, gray, green, purple and light blue.

2. IPhone 17 Air
This year’s most striking iPhone is without a doubt the iPhone 17 Air. Apple does not release iPhone 17 Plus this year, instead the iPhone 17 Air appears. The phone becomes much thinner than the current models, with a ‘thickness’ of only 5.5 millimeters. For comparison: the iPhone 16 has a thickness of 7.8 millimeters. With the iPhone 17 Air we probably see the same A19 chip as with the iPhone 17, although there are also rumors that Apple opts for the A19 Pro chip at the device.
In the thinner housing with a 6.6-inch screen there is less space for parts, which means that the iPhone 17 Air only has one camera on the back. That is a 48-megapixel camera, at the front the iPhone 17 Air probably has a 24-megapixel camera. In addition, the thinnest iPhone once also receives a screen with promotion, which offers support for Always-on. The expected colors with the iPhone 17 Air are black, white, light blue and light gold.

3. IPhone 17 Pro
Major changes are expected with the iPhone 17 Pro. According to rumors, the iPhone 17 Pro not only gets new functions under the hood, but Apple also adjusts the design of the device. Apple says goodbye to the titanium housing that we see at the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) and opts for an aluminum finish instead. That has to do with the camera island, which becomes much wider with the iPhone 17 Pro. The phone has a 6.3-inch screen.
The camera system of the iPhone 17 Pro is also being redesigned, because the phone gets no fewer than three 48-megapixel cameras. The Televelens will be a 48-megapixel camera for the first time, with which you can allegedly zoom in even further. At the front, the smartphone gets a 24-megapixel camera, just like the iPhone 17 (Air). The iPhone 17 Pro runs on the advanced A19 Pro chip and is probably available in a black, white, gray, dark blue and orange version.

4. IPhone 17 Pro Max
The iPhone 17 Pro Max in general gets the same functions as the iPhone 17 Pro. With the largest and advanced iPhone in 2025 we see the same wider camera island as with the iPhone 17 Pro. This camera island is accompanied by the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a new camera function, because you can continue to zoom in without loss of quality. It is expected that with the iPhone 17 Pro Max you can zoom in at least 8x with the improved 48-megapixel Televelens.
It is still unclear whether Apple will only bring this new camera function to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, or also expands to the iPhone 17 Pro. There are changing rumors about this, which means that there is a chance that you can only zoom in with the iPhone 17 Pro Max up to 8x without loss of quality. Other functions at the iPhone 17 Pro Max are an A19 Pro chip, 6.9-inch screen and 24-megapixel front camera. With the iPhone 17 Pro Max you can choose from the colors black, white, gray, dark blue and orange.
