Since iOS 16 you can personalize the access screen of your iPhone and adjust it in detail. For example, add widgets, select new backgrounds and you can adjust the layout of date and time.
You can easily change the font of the clock, change the date memorandum and adjust the colors. You can also use a depth effect and place the time partly behind an object or background.
Adjust date and time on access screen
Do you want to personalize the clock and display of the date on the standby screen of your iPhone? Then you can easily adjust it directly from the access screen itself.
- Unlock your iPhone via Touch ID, Face ID or access code
- Put your finger on the access screen
- Wait a few moments
- The editing mode is activated
- Tap ‘adjust’
- Choose ‘access screen’
Tap the clock to adjust the font and color. By tapping the date you can change it to another representation or you can choose a text widget as an information source. By tapping the shortcuts you have the option of switching on or off the depth effect, dark mode or perspective effect.
Set new background
Would you rather create a new access screen? Then you can tap the blue plus button when opening the editing mode. Then choose a desired background. You can choose from different themes and backgrounds
Are you unable to change the access screen by putting your finger on it? Then go to Settings â–¸ Background â–¸ Tap the current one to adjust it or create a new one via ‘Add new background’.
